Why This Exists
I lost my dog Chip because of the bias and fear people place on certain dogs. While sharing his story, I learned how many owners of restricted breeds or reactive dogs stop taking their dogs outside or give them up because they feel like they’re “too much dog.”
Chip wasn’t reactive or aggressive, but he was a lot of dog. Keeping him balanced meant hours outside, long walks, and what felt like endless laps around the dog park. I had the time and freedom to give him what he needed. Most people don’t.
Chip’s Promise is the promise I made to him: I told him his death would not be in vain, so with Chip's I promise that dogs who struggle won’t be written off, and the people who love them won’t be left alone, overwhelmed, or ashamed. I promise that dogs like Chip, or Juzai, and even Baby (my remaining dogs), and the people who love them have the support I know they desperately need.
